— About Ceiling Mork
A practice built on
careful observation.
We take the time to understand your home before we offer any opinion about it.
← Back to Home— Our Story
Started with a simple observation:
most homes deserve a closer look.
Ceiling Mork was founded after years of encountering properties across Kuala Lumpur where the electrical installation had simply never been looked at in any organised way. Circuits accumulated over decades, panel labelling bore little connection to reality, and homeowners had no clear picture of how their wiring was arranged.
The name comes from the practice of reading a ceiling — the same way a trained eye can understand the structure of a room from its surfaces, we read a property's electrical installation to understand how it was built, how it has changed, and how it supports the people living in it today.
We keep the practice small deliberately. Each booking is handled personally. Assessments are thorough because the time is taken. Written summaries are provided because clarity matters more than a verbal exchange at the door.
Our focus is residential properties in Kuala Lumpur — terrace houses, semi-detached homes, condominiums, and apartments. We work across Sri Hartamas, Bangsar, Mont Kiara, Desa Park City, and the broader city area.
Our Mission
To give Kuala Lumpur homeowners an accurate, honest picture of their electrical installation — and to address what needs addressing with care and thoroughness.
What We Stand Behind
- Honesty first. We describe what we find, not what might lead to a larger job.
- Thorough assessment. A walk-through is only useful when it covers everything.
- Respectful presence. Your home is treated with the same consideration we'd expect in our own.
- Written records. Every visit leaves you with something you can keep and refer back to.

— Context & Background
Kuala Lumpur's residential housing stock spans several decades of construction, and electrical installations often reflect that range. Older terrace houses in areas like Bangsar and Cheras frequently retain original wiring from the 1970s and 80s, alongside subsequent additions that may not have been carried out to a consistent standard. Condominiums built in the 1990s and 2000s generally have more organised panel arrangements but often show signs of accumulated modifications as residents personalise their units.
A considered electrical review helps homeowners understand what they actually have — not through alarm, but through documentation and clear explanation. Ceiling Mork's work is primarily about producing that picture: a reliable record of the installation as it stands, observations about anything that warrants attention, and straightforward guidance on what steps, if any, are worth taking.
The fitting refresh service addresses the practical side of home maintenance — replacing socket outlets, light switches, and ceiling rose connections that have aged or been damaged, approached room by room in a way that suits how families actually manage renovation work. The panel service addresses the distribution board specifically, the component most likely to contain accumulated additions and outdated labelling that no longer reflects the circuits it describes.
Ceiling Mork holds a valid wireman registration issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga and maintains professional indemnity cover for all residential electrical work undertaken within the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory.
